Beginners
Rycroft holds courses for children and adults with little or no experience. Sessions are taken by qualified instructors and
horses are carefully chosen to match pupils' needs. Group or Private Lessons available.
Adults
We
provide training and riding activities for adults, whatever their level
of experience. Our BHS qualified instructors assess ability and develop
training programmes to suit the individual. Events such as hacking in
Bramshill Forest and Dressage Competitions provide added interest for
those who wish to take part. We welcome riders with their own horses and
offer a discount. See
Adult Riders for more
information.
Children
We have an excellent
selection of ponies for use by young children. Our instructors are
skilled at developing good riding habits and their friendly approach
makes Rycroft an ideal place for children to learn and gain confidence. See

Intermediate and Advanced
Tuition is offered
at different levels depending on ability. Career
students and an increasing number of other clients opt for training to
British Horse Society
standards. See
BHS Courses.
Dressage
We are able to teach the exacting disciplines of
dressage to those clients who have the desire and ability to progress in
this direction.
Cross Country
We designate specific areas of our 25 acre site for training,
practising or taking part in this activity. For more serious
students, Rycroft offers a range of courses to develop and refine cross
country skills.
Carriage Driving
Rycroft has extensive competitive experience of carriage driving and scurry
driving. We can help
clients develop proficiency in this enjoyable pastime, up to
competition standards. For more information see
competitive success.
Hacking
We offer clients the opportunity to go
hacking in the unspoilt, yet safe, Bramshill Forest. Rides may be taken
privately under the supervision of one of our experienced instructors, or
as part of a supervised group. On certain holiday weekends we organise a group ride through
the forest to a local inn.

service. We usually
has several animals for sale. The arrangement includes half-price group
