BHS COURSES

Many clients are keen to obtain a British Horse Society (BHS) professional qualification. This is particularly relevant for

  • students - looking for a future career working with horses

  • amateur riders - who believe (rightly in our opinion) that they will derive greater enjoyment from their hobby when they are proficient in all aspects of riding and horse care

  • horse owners - whether they have full responsibility for upkeep of their horses or have placed them in livery.

Rycroft has worked closely with the British Horse Society for many years. We have a high success rate in BHS examinations and have been recognised as a 'BHS Exam Centre of Excellence'.

BHS Courses

Rycroft runs a range of training courses aimed at obtaining BHS Stages I/II/III  qualifications and passing the BHS Preliminary Teaching Test (PTT). Courses vary in duration from 1-24 weeks. For more information see BHS Course Programmes.

BHS Specialist Courses
We also hold Specialist Courses when required, aimed particularly towards BHS Stage IV. These are led by Robert Pickles FBHS. See Future Events page for dates.
