Quality training for
the individual
We run 1-, 4-, 8-, 12- or 24-week
courses throughout the year for British Horse Society Stages I/II/III combined
with Preliminary Teaching Test (PTT). One to four-day intensive courses are
also available, and may be taken on separate days. From time to
time we hold
Specialist BHS Stage IV Training Days.
Daily Programme
A typical daily
programme includes: two 1-hour group lessons (either riding - flatwork or
jumping - or teaching practice) with a class of similar standard; one stable
management lecture, equitation study or teaching practice; practical
work or private study or watching any lesson in progress.
Course Schedules
Courses are run on any four
days of the week or weekend except Mondays. They may commence on any day of
the week or weekend except Mondays to suit individual requirements. Extra
lessons may be booked if required. Examinations are held at Rycroft throughout the year. The courses are individually planned and
progress is monitored by our Chief Instructor. Examinations to be booked
through the British Horse Society.
Own horse by arrangement.
Please ring for dates, fees etc.
Accommodation
Rycroft can provide
excellent local accommodation, costing approximately £100.00 per week. We
normally advise students to remain at Rycroft for the full- or
part-working day, but this is not mandatory. |

We would be pleased for students to participate in yard
duties on any or all the days of the course as this would be
beneficial, but it is not obligatory.
Working pupil opportunities are
often available - details on request or go to:
Working Students. Please contact our office for
full details and current fees. |
