Scurry Driving

Scurry driving, or to give it its proper name "Double Harness Scurry Driving", has been a popular sport of Rycroft proprietor Bill Hundley for many years.

In a scurry driving competition, two ponies pull a carriage through pairs of cones at full gallop. Drivers compete against each other to get the fastest time possible at shows throughout Great Britain.

Success at National and County events

Bill has been successful at both local and national levels. He is a regular competitor in Scurry Driving events at county shows throughout the UK, where he is usually well placed. He was National Scurry Driving Champion in 1999. The photographs on this page show him competing and winning at Wembley and elsewhere.
